I carry your heart with me - Hong Kong

Marc by Marc Jacobs Totally Turnlock Zip Clutch, tunic and pumps from Hong Kong boutiques, Zara leggings

My sister got me this Marc by Marc Jacobs clutch, aww so sweet. No occasion, she knew I needed a new wallet and this is just big enough to fit my Blackberry and camera too (I get separation anxiety if I don't always have those with me). Spontaneous gifts are thoughtful and fun. :)

Along the lines of clutches that carry things and sisters.. Reminds me of one of my favorite movie scenes. It's a moment in In Her Shoes where Maggie (Cameron Diaz) reads E. E. Cummings' poem "I Carry Your Heart" (which also happens to be one of my favorite poems) to her sister Rose (Toni Collette):

I Carry Your Heart With Me
I carry your heart with me (I carry it in
my heart) I am never without it (anywhere
I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
I fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) I want
no world (for beautiful  you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

Here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(Here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)

Appropriately, my sister just got engaged! So happy for them. It'll be my first time being maid of honor. Love you sis.
