Some photos from a weekend trip my boyfriend and I took to Chicago a couple weeks back that, long story short, could be summarized in one word: freezing. 20-degree spring? That's sad. (I guess I should stop griping about how there better be tons of May flowers this year considering how we're getting lots and lots of April showers in Seattle so far..) There were amazing aspects of the city like awesome restaurants and bars, and cool design and architecture, but I'll always remember being soo cold. Forget style, it's survival at this point, I wore my sleeping bag coat (pictured) and a massive snood that I'd pull over my entire face leaving just enough room for my eyes to peer over. Delayering upon entering a heated facility like a restaurant was quite an effort. Definitely wish I could transport some of the incredible food here though..

I know what you mean about forgetting about style when it's freezing, at that point all I want is to be warm and toasty! Though I should have a good tolerance to cold since I live in Vancouver but nope, I still prefer hot summer days to cold freezing winter ones! ><
