Book Bindery - Seattle

For my birthday dinner last month, my boyfriend took me to Book Bindery, a recently opened restaurant by Chef Shaun McCrain, who was the executive sous chef to Thomas Keller's New York City sensation, Per Se. Located under the Fremont Bridge by the ship canal in Seattle, the inside felt like you were in a luxurious Victorian reading room transported into a modern day warehouse with exposed raw wooden ceiling and polished concrete floors. I knew the food would not only be gorgeously plated, but also so fresh and wonderfully flavorful.. excited to eat!

Amuse-bouche: sunchoke gazpacho with white truffle cream.

Pork belly with watercress, apples, walnuts, and raspberry gelée.

White beans and clams with chorizo, tomato, and basil.

Seared halibut with brandade, spring radishes, and piquillo pepper vinaigrette.

Caramelized sea scallops with citrus supremes, sunchokes, and candied macrona almonds.

I was wearing the slashed back silk top by Geren Ford, a little sneak peak of an outfit post to come soon!
