Digital perm #2

A year ago I posted about my digital perm and every month it's still the most visited and searched subject on my blog. I also get asked a lot of questions about it so I figured I'll do an updated post. When I went to Hong Kong last month, I got my annual digital perm. This style works for me because it takes absolutely no maintenance and gives my flat straight hair wave and volume. Feel free to ask me any questions about it!

There are tons of hair salons in Hong Kong that are reasonably priced. There are high end salons too but I tend to stick to the ones on the streets, if I wanted to pay $300+, I would just get it done in the States. This year I went to Hair Code, and I usually get the package including haircut, treatment (to protect your hair), and digital perm that ends up being around $100. I always specify that I want loose beachy waves so I don't end up looking like Shirley Temple. They permed my bangs this year too which is the first time I've ever had that and it gave them just the right lift.

Literally I woke up and my hair looked like this, it's really like on TV when the girl wakes up with perfect hair and makeup (the latter unfortunately does not happen in real life). I usually shower in the morning and then blowdry my hair with a diffuser which gives the curls a more even wave and not so messy and kinked like in the photo. The best thing is I never have to use any product and my hair stays voluminous. If you deep condition your hair once in a while, a perm is really not too damaging, I'd say my hair is in fine health. It's the best solution to those (like me) too lazy to do their hair daily. I'll take the extra 30 minutes of sleep in the morning, thanks. Hope this helped!
