Last night, my bf and I had our annual holiday dinner, this year at The Herbfarm. I'll do a post on that later since it was so amazing it deserves its own entry (teaser: 9-courses and wine pairings with unlimited refills all locally sourced = good night, an intended double entendre as awesome night and also zzzzz). Anyway, I love this style of American Apparel dresses, it's simple but the low back got me. The rich dark blue velvet and long sleeves make it winter appropriate, but it's also fun enough to wear out for holiday parties. Paired it with glitter Louboutins, which are my go-to shoes for festivities. Can't believe Christmas is next week, have a happy holiday season!

I've been eying this AA dress for a while! When I finally tried it on, I found that it bunched awkwardly around the armpit area.. which is a shame, because it is such a beautiful piece! I settled on the sleeveless version instead. Glad to see that it's a perfect fit for you!
