Coffee, vintage, Cuban sandwiches, and vegan treats

Saying we enjoy copious amounts of good food is a severe understatement. After the snack, we made an executive decision that since sun is becoming a less frequent guest with the approach of winter, we’d take advantage of the one semi-warm day and stroll around Fremont. Grabbed coffee (if you guessed I got a pumpkin spiced latte, you win) and roamed underground vintage markets before going to eat amazing Cuban roast pork cilantro jalapeno (that ingredient combo can do no wrong) sandwiches at Paseo. You also must get the life-changing (I know I get really gushy about things I love and label them all as “life-changing” but really, it’s so good it makes you want to become a better person) corn on the cob slathered in garlic butter. I’ve always wanted to check out Flying Apron Bakery, so after lunch we ordered a pecan cinnamon roll (pictured) and slices of chai pumpkin and carrot cake. It wasn’t until I took the first bite that I realized it was a vegan bakery, and then it all made sense. More power to you if you’re vegan, but I just can’t do it. My personal mantra.. you can live to be 100 if you give up all the things that would make you want to live to be 100, and I want my desserts made with looots of butter and heavy whipping cream.
