Time heals all, and heels hurt to walk in, but they go with the clutch that you carry your lip gloss in

Geren Ford silk top
Shipley & Halmos high waisted pants
Kate Spade satin pumps
Gap bag

The full outfit of what I wore in this post, the look is feminine but with the surprising slashed back shirt so as to not be too girly and proper, I always like clothes with an element of intrigue. One of the most shocking things though would probably be that I got the adorable ruffly purse from Gap of all places like a decade ago, it’s one of those kiddy treasures that you fall back in love with while closet cleaning one day, and just happens to match the Kate Spades perfectly. Most of my clothes are monochromatic so it’s fun to let the accessories give pops of color.

So this post went something like this for me – "OH I LOVE that purse, I'm going to have to comment on that. That blouse is HEAVEN (and out of my price range I already looked), that necklace is F21 now we're talking. Gasp, Kate you are my hero."

I love love this outfit from head to toe.

Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I absolutely love your pumps and your trousers! I am self-conscious about my legs and so I rarely wear trousers.

This is such a fun outfit Carolyn – I love the pop of colour and those Kate Spade pumps are gorgeous! My outfits are normally monochromatic as well so I'm usually extremely proud of myself when I can throw in something out of the ordinary (which is rare I have to say haha)

Haha, what a coincidence with the blog post title! I actually discovered Gungor the other day on Youtube. I just fell in love with their songs! Beautiful things and the earth is yours are both really good!

This look is beautiful! I love the necklace and I never would have guessed it was from Forever 21! I tend to wear pretty monochromatic colors as well – I think I practically live in all black in the winter – but you're right about adding punches of color with accessories. You've pulled it off really well here!

    Hey there,

Just discovered you blog via Yvonne's modern girl blog 🙂 Love those satin sandals, they're just perfect! I recently bought some blue satin ones & was wondering how to wear them, but i think after seeing your look here, putting them with neutrals, blacks/whites etc will make them properly stand out! thanks!
