Set fire to the rain

Forever 21 dress
Gap jelly sandals
Marc by Marc Jacobs bag

An impromptu shoot in Hong Kong while waiting out a tropical downpour… I love the photo my bf took capturing the raindrops, so beautiful the way the droplets explode when they hit the ground. I borrowed these jelly sandals from one of my best friends knowing it’s monsoon season in SE Asia and they’ve been put to good use. I rarely wear cute little dresses back home but borrowed some of my sister’s, like this one. You may see a lot of skirts/dresses outfit posts since they allow for the most airflow in humid hot tropical weather. So pumped when I stumbled across this glitter belt a random shop in HK for like $4 – you may remember my hunt for one in this post.

Anyway, we’ve left Saigon, Vietnam since my last post and are now in Siem Reap, Cambodia! Waking up at 4am tomorrow to catch the sunrise over Angkor Wat, can’t wait. Will catch up on posts soon!

    what a lovely dress, so angelic! & the pleats/cut sort of look grecian? your adventures abroad sound like a lot of fun, it's great going to places completely different!

    & the first photo is fab, i've been trying to capture raindrops (on my dinky iphone!) for a while now, but still learning!

    i saw this dress a couple of days ago! not sure what stopped me from getting it though… totally want it even more now seeing in on you.

    it seems like you're having a ton of fun on your SE asia vacation!!

    i totally forgot to tell you about where to visit in thailand! {i'm from pattaya/chonburi provinces}

    &not sure if this will help you now since you're already there. sorry love! but maybe for future purposes? heh

    so in Bangkok, you should visit: grand palace, wat arun {oldest landmark in bk}, wat po {home to the reclining buddha} and patpong night market {located in the red light district}

    visit ayutthaya, about an hour away from bk, it's an ancient city with ruined remains. it's a huge site.

    you should go to the south of thailand… krabi province has POWDER WHITE SAND! railay beach is a completed cut off and is secluded so you'd have to get there by boat… should not be missed. i swear, you won't regret it here!

    the floating market, it's on the damneon saduak canal. totally fun and would be awesome for some photoshoot time. haha.

    visit the east coast islands if you have time… koh samui, koh phangan {full moon parties!}, koh tao, koh nang yuan are great places to do some backpacking & snorkelling.

    & oh, koh phi phi! which is popular due to the movie – "the beach" …

    i'm just saying, don't miss out on all the beautiful islands while you're there. it's one of the most beautiful places on earth… i hope you'll get to go!!
