We had brunch out on the patio at Nine-Ten when we were in San Diego a few months ago (can I just say I can’t wait until patio-dining weather again), and then hung around La Jolla cove (outfit post here) listening to the waves for a while.. it was a wonderfully therapeutic morning.
The usual hazelnut Americano that arrived with a pistachio biscotti.
Chilaquiles, which has avocado, queso fresco, and sour cream on top of fried tortillas with sunny-side up eggs. I like the Mexican-fusion in southern California when it comes to food and made sure to get my fill when I was down there (that meant nightly California burrito runs).
Short rib hash with tender shredded short ribs, roasted onions, poached eggs, and red wine sauce.
Lemon ricotta pancakes. They were so fluffy and light with an irresistible citrus note.
Weekends always make me want to do brunch posts, since they’re my favorite meal. Hope you’re all having a restful enjoyable weekend.
Looks so good!!
