The Wandering Goose – Seattle, WA

We went to The Wandering Goose on opening night for Friday evening Southern family-styled supper.

All the tables had different quotes burned into them. Loved the idea!

The Wandering Goose shares a window-wall with Rione XIII, a rustic Italian Ethan Stowell restaurant I posted about here.

Sweet potato soup with kale chips and creme fraiche, so comforting on a crisp fall night. I also need to make my own kale chips! Addicting.

Arugula and mizuna with candied pecans.

I heard The Wandering Goose is known for their buttermilk biscuits during brunch, so when they passed around a basket full of them I was so happy. The biscuits were amazing!

Roasted vegetables.

The BBQ brisket had a sweet but spicy kick, and the chicken was smokey with perfectly crisped skin.

The meal ended with bourbon pecan pie. I was so full but this was too delicious to not devour.

A pretty quote I spotted on the ground on our way out.

That looks delicious! Luckily, I am living right on the edge of the south and can find that food most of the time. 🙂 Your southern fare looks much fancier though!

I've only ever had Brisket once- and it was….amazing. I think I'm too afraid a second try won't compare properly 🙂
