Our Wedding Photos [Part 1]

photography by Benj Haisch

Happy Valentine’s Day! I am finally getting around to posting a few of our wedding photos after over five months from this beautiful day. Here we are on the rooftop of our venue overlooking the Seattle skyline. I loved this private opportunity, to be able to escape above the city and just be alone together…

You can view my wedding outfit details in this post.

OH this is so cute, I love the urban look of the skyline and the lace detail around the sweetheart neckline is so feminine, it's a great balance between the background and the dress!

Hi there–recently got engaged and I love Court in the Square as venue. If you don't mind me asking, how was the wedding planning with CIS, specifically Bob..and was the price pretty reasonable? I'm also looking at Sodo Park and Within Sodo as potential venues. Thanks so much for your feedback! I love your blog!!

Hello – congrats on your engagement!

Here are the pros to Court in the Square: beautiful space, requires very little decorating (though I did order drapes to cover the office windows and corridors), private rooftop for photos with the city as a backdrop. The cons: catering only through CIS (their food is less than desirable) and working with Bob (he's reliable and gets the job done, but he can be abrasive). Still, I loved the venue and everything went smoothly! I think "reasonable" may be a subjective term, but we stayed within our wedding budget.

Sodo Park is gorgeous but so big – we had a pretty intimate guestlist of 100 people so CIS was the perfect size. Hope this helps! Feel free to shoot me any more questions: heyprettythingblog@gmail.com!

      Good luck,
