I get asked about packing tips for travel, and I frequently recommend bringing a maxi dress. They’re conservative to be culturally sensitive, breezy for hot and humid weather, and easy to transform from day to night. I’ve layered leggings underneath a knit maxi in New York for added warmth (here), worn a patterned maxi in Siem Reap to ward off mosquitos while being respectful when visiting the temple of Angkor Wat (here), and transitioned a red maxi from daytime exploration to nighttime drinks on a hotel rooftop bar in Singapore (here).

Anyway, husband posted more gorgeous pictures he took of our trip to Santorini, Greece on his photography site. Follow the rest of our European honeymoon on my Instagram!

love the maxi, classic style. Totally agree, it's a great all-rounder. I"m going to Africa for the first time on monday & packing maxi dresses, plus a light scarf/sarong – useful for covering shoulders when needed 🙂

Love the photos, Greece looks beautiful!
