Macklemore & Ryan Lewis x Dick’s Drive-In

After work yesterday, husband informed me that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were planning to shoot their new music video for “White Walls” at the Dick’s Drive-In on Broadway in Capitol Hill. Dick’s is an iconic burger joint in Seattle founded in 1954 (and I think it’s way better than In-N-Out), and it made for a perfect backdrop since Macklemore loves repping our city.

Since Dick’s is in our neighborhood, we strolled over at 6pm to be towards the front. The crowd was already forming for the anticipated 8pm start. By 8pm, an announcer said they’ll begin in 45 minutes. An hour passed… then another… and at 10:45pm, Ryan Lewis arrived on scene to say they will start filming in half an hour.

Finally at midnight, after a 6-hour wait, we saw Macklemore!

Macklemore repped the Seahawks of course! They performed on the rooftop of Dick’s to their new single, which was so fun to witness. I can’t wait to see the new music video!
