Birthday Dinner + Dessert: Red Cow and Hot Cakes

Dinner: Red Cow

To celebrate my birthday, Husband took me out to dinner at Ethan Stowell’s new casual French spot, Red Cow. The space is quaint yet industrial, and the food rustic and unfussy, which is characteristically Seattle.

Started with a rich Foie Gras charcuterie plate, offset with refreshing pickled vegetables.

Moved to the even more indulgent Roasted Bone Marrow.

Husband ordered the New York Strip, and I had Moules in white wine and Frites.

Dessert: Hot Cakes

We always pick up a handful of these housemade pistachio paprika caramels.

Lovingly gazing at my birthday cake: Nutella hazelnut molten chocolate souffle.

Welcomed in another year with good food and the best company. 🙂 I wish you all a delicious weekend!

This made me do a double-take because one of our favorite restaurants in DC is called Red Hen and the menu design looks strikingly similar (Italian food, though)! Love the looks of this place!
