3 Strategies: Scoring Sold Out Shoes

Christian Louboutin leopard loafers

Finally upgraded my trusty leopard loafers that I’ve over-worn, which persuaded me that the cost per wear would make these CL beauties a justified investment. I wore these shoes on my birthday in this post.

These loafers have been sold out for years, so here are my strategies for hunting down elusive items:

  1. Set alerts with search parameters on luxury consignment websites like eBay, Vaunte, Shop Hers, LXR & Co., and Vestiaire Collective. Then, you’ll get an email of items filtered by your desired size, style, and condition.
  2. Look for key words in sales on Gilt, Ideeli, Rue La La, My Habit, and Hautelook. Google promo codes from Retail Me Not before you purchase.
  3. Shop discounted past seasons on Yoox, Barneys Warehouse, Last Call by Neiman Marcus, Bluefly, and Outnet. They frequently have sample and additional sales.
Good luck hunting! Where did you score your last coveted item?

My last amazing bargain find was found at Crossroads Trading Co. on the 50% off rack. A 100% silk Joie patterned blouse for $10. With the tags still attached. Love these loafers, btw!

Thank you for this Carolyn! And great find. Leopard is a killer staple that I don't yet have. Why?

Awesome loafers! I haven't really tried to by anything that's off the market yet. I would love to score the Celine gold and black oxfords. Maybe I'll give your tips a try. 🙂
