Black and White

A.L.C. chunky knit crop tank top (on sale!)
Chanel wallet on chain
Christian Louboutin “Half d’Orsay” pumps

I wore this outfit to the Nordstrom Designer Preview (post here). Before deciding, I posted two outfit options on Instagram to get another opinion about which I should wear. About 80% of commenters totally preferred the other option. Someone called this outfit “grandma-ish” and one of my girlfriends said it was “basic” lol. I do appreciate all of your honesty.

At the end of the day, I guess I just went with what makes me feel most comfortable in my skin. While a crop top, 4-inch heels, and a body-hugging skirt are by no means “comfortable,” what I mean is that this outfit felt very “me.” Dress to impress, sure, but mostly yourself!

I absolutely adore this look! That top is so cute and different. I love it paired with a sleeker pencil skirt and heels—perfection! Yes, always go with what makes you feel "you" and best. With that comes confidence and nothing looks better on anyone than self-confidence! xo

That whole look is killer! I'm such a fan of black and white because it's so chic and timeless–you really can't go wrong. And that ALC knit is amazing! I love knits like that where you can wear it in the summer and colder months. Great post and great pics!

Both of the outfits look amazing on you but I'm so glad you picked the one you felt most comfortable in! I totally agree with your philosophy. My getting dressed motto is to always dress for yourself… and no one else. 🙂
