Jewelry + Lipstick

I don’t own a lot of jewelry, because I get bored of baubles easily and don’t get enough wears to justify costs. That’s why the concept behind Rocksbox is genius. For $20/month, a stylist picks out three pieces of designer jewelry (worth up to $200) for you. You can keep whatever you love for however long you want, or you could ship them back and receive new pieces to play with.

For date nights, I styled a couple pieces I received from this month’s Rocksbox with my favorite lipsticks.

Urban Gem “Sunrise” stud earrings + NARS “Jungle Red” lipstick
When wearing bejeweled studs, I like to pull the hair back and keep the neckline simple to bring attention to the earrings. I added a matte red lipstick for a classic, glam evening look.

Loren Hope “Aurora” necklace + NARS “Schiap” lipstick
Hot pink is my favorite color, and I love that stone on the necklace! I wanted to match it with another color pop of fuchsia lips. With two bright tones, I kept the rest of the outfit simple with a LBD.

I've heard of this type of program for clothing but never for jewelry! I might have to try it! I really love that necklace!

I have to say I have seen a lot of reviews for Rocksbox, but none as creative and flawless as yours. As someone who loves a bold lip, I love that you complimented and featured the products with lipstick. I am also obsessed with the second picture because of how the lipstick compliments the color on the necklace. Great review!!

What an interesting concept for a sub box. That would be pretty neat to get some fresh jewelry each month although I'm not sure what I'd do with it all – it would be hard to send it back!
