Denim on Denim

J.Crew quilted denim sweatshirt (on sale!)
Zara d’orsay pumps (similar)
RocksBox necklace (code: carolynxoxo)
Louis Vuitton epi leather card holder

Resisted all urges to call this post “50 shades of blue” or “I’m blue da ba de”… Anyway, since I love all things denim, I had to get this unique quilted denim sweatshirt. I feel like this sweatshirt will replace the classic denim jacket as my go-to spring/summer outerwear. When going for denim on denim, I like to vary the shades of the denim to avoid looking too uniform. Then, since I’m wearing destroyed boyfriend jeans, I wanted the top to look more pulled-together.

Such a great look! Double denim really works and I like who you broke it up with shirt and accessories, great example of how double denim is more wearable than people think x

I use a pretty similar line of thinking when pairing two pieces of denim together – vary the shades.
I've never seen a sweatshirt like yours before! It's fantastic and it really pulls the whole outfit together! You look lovely!
