Copenhagen in Denmark is the second city of our Europe + Iceland trip. It’s a pleasant city, home to minimalist fashion, modern design, and an exciting food scene. (We actually planned our entire trip around our reservation to Noma, named the best restaurant in the world – I’ll write a whole post for that experience soon!)

I didn’t think I’d jump on the Birkenstock bandwagon, mostly because I don’t like walking in sandals without back straps (the annoying slippage and flip-flopping noise I can do without). So when I saw these “Milano” Birks with the back strap, I bought them immediately. They’ve been the perfect travel shoe – easy for airports and comfy for all-day exploring.

This is like the perfect summer look! Would have never guessed the dress to be from Ann Taylor out of all places. Was expected either Banana Republic or Madewell. So gorgeous though!

I've heard so much about the food at Copenhagen and seen some vlogs filmed there as well, and I am dying to go there! I hope you had a splendid time there! Also, I'm loving what you're wearing, and I can understand the dilemma of back-strapless shoes; they are so difficult to walk in, but it's so great that you found these because they look great!

Such a beautiful outfit! I love the idea of the back strap on those Birks…I'd much prefer those over the traditional ones.

Hi Krissie! I loved Copenhagen – the people are polite, the city is charming, the public transportation is easy and efficient, and the food is amazing! I'll be writing a more in-depth post for the blog in the near future. You should check out Copenhagen Street Food Market while you're there – so fun!
