Last weekend, Husband and I drove up to Vancouver for a quick weekend trip. We love shopping there (especially with the current exchange rate!) and eating good Chinese food in Richmond. It’s also conveniently close to Seattle yet far enough to feel like a getaway.

I wore a variation of this outfit everyday I was in Vancouver, since it’s comfortable yet pulled together. Over the past couple years, I’ve been buying investment pieces that I’ll be wearing for years. Here’s how I lived in the Vince black puffer coat last year. I’ve also worn these Prada Chelsea boots here, here, and here. I recently purchased the Longchamp tote for our Europe + Iceland trip, and it’s been my go-to for traveling, which you can see here and here.

I'm also from Seattle and need to get back to Vancouver! Love this look. Where do you stay in CA (air BNB, hotel? what area?)?

Hey! Nice to "meet" a fellow Seattleite. 🙂 I usually stay in a hotel in downtown Vancouver, which is pretty convenient. When I went up with friends, we stayed at an Airbnb in Gastown — the space was awesome and it was in my favorite neighborhood!

I live in Vancouver and I really should come to Seattle more often… it's so close! Glad you had fun on your weekend trip and I love that camel scarf!

I love this look. The camel scarf looks great with the grey and black. I also love how you make sure to get a lot of use out of your investment pieces. You look fantastic!
