Hello! I didn’t mean to take an unofficial month-long hiatus from blogging and social media, but life during and after the holidays got so busy that it just happened. To quickly catch you up: Work is crazy busy, but it’s fun and rewarding. I get home pretty late, and it’s too dark outside to take outfit photos by then. Also, we’ve been remodeling our upstairs, so our weekends are consumed by chores, but it’s coming along and exciting! Are you an adult when purchasing home decor > clothes?

Anyway, it finally let up raining this weekend after what seemed like months of downpour. I took a break from my usual weekend loungewear (sweatshirt tunic and tights) and celebrated this clear day with an outfit that looks like I sort of tried. I wore this tweed plaid skirt that has cute pink and burgundy stitching. It was even sunny enough to break out my new Ray-Ban sunglasses!

Your photography is amazing! Surprisingly, soft pink and burgundy do go well together

I think this look is super cool! And I feel your pain with the problem you have with it being too dark to take pictures. Here in Denmark the sun goes down like half past 3 in December/January. Finally it's starting to be lighter so I can take pictures other than the weekends 🙂

Welcome back to the blog!! I am so interested to hear about your home remodel– what are you updating?

I realized I became a "real adult" last year when I got super excited about getting a vacuum cleaner. Slowly becoming a granny over here. 🙂

Hi Katrina! Our spare bedroom has been a junk room, so we've been clearing it out and making it into an office/walk-in-closet space. We also had some filler furniture in our master bedroom for a couple years, so we finally upgraded to more "real adult" pieces. Not finished but coming along! 🙂

Love this outfit! It's cool to see how to wear a plaid mini skirt as an adult lol. I always feel a bit too risque usually wearing one as it feels too juvenile but I really like how you styled it here.
