Birthday Weekend Staycation @ Hyatt at Olive 8

My birthday is today! Last weekend, Hyatt at Olive 8 in downtown Seattle hosted us for a staycation! There’s something so special and relaxing about vacationing in your own city – you can spend the night in a luxe hotel, play tourist, eat out, and not have to worry about any travel stress. Here’s how the weekend went!

Stay: Hyatt at Olive 8

Right as we settle into our room, there was a knock on the door with the best surprise! The hospitality team at the Hyatt at Olive 8 delivered a bottle of champagne and chocolates to wish me a happy birthday. So sweet!

Relax: Elaia Spa

I received a 60-minute massage at Elaia Spa within the hotel, and I can totally vouch for why it’s award-winning, especially as Elaia uses natural and local products. The entire experience is created to provide a serene environment, removing you from everyday matters.

The locker room contains a dry sauna and a eucalyptus steam room (I was early to the massage so I hung out in both for a bit ahhh). There’s a peaceful relaxation room full of snacks and drinks. After the massage, I was hanging out there, and the hospitality team delivered a mimosa and cupcake for my birthday! I just kept getting blown away by their thoughtfulness and attention to detail.

A spa treatment would be a lovely gift for upcoming Mother’s Day, or for a bride, or for yourself!

Dine: Urbane

A night, we popped downstairs to Urbane for dinner. We got a couple cocktails, and then the chef started us off with a gorgeous charcuterie plate. After a crab cakes appetizer, we moved onto our entrees. Husband ordered a steak, and I had king crab. We were so full, but the staff insisted on boxing up a dessert to take with us! Again, so thoughtful. We got the honeycomb cheesecake to go and ate it in our room while watching a movie.

The biggest thank you to Hyatt at Olive 8 for the best service, hospitality, and staycation during my birthday weekend!
