Beauty: July Favorites

This month’s favorite products: sunscreen moisturizer, perfume, liquid eyeliner, brush cleaning mat

Left: Kate Somerville “Daily Deflector” SPF 50+ Moisturizer – I’ve found the perfect daytime moisturizer, especially for summer. It’s hard to find moisturizer with SPF over 30 that doesn’t smell or feel greasy like sunscreen. I also didn’t want to double up with moisturizer and then sunscreen on top because it’d feel too thick. This Kate Somerville moisturizer doesn’t leave a white cast (yet is SPF 50+!!!), and my makeup doesn’t slip or melt off, even in the summer heat and humidity.

Right: Chloé Eau de Parfum – Everyone loves this perfume, but I just have to rave about it some more. It’s my longest lasting perfume, as in, one spritz could last the whole day, and I can still faintly smell it on my clothes after. This is the original Chloé perfume, and I like that it’s not too sweet, with notes of freesia, rose, and cedarwood.

Left: Stila “Stay All Day” Liquid Eyeliner – I’ve used this liquid eyeliner for years, and it’s still my favorite even after trying other brands (Kat Von D, Clio, Urban Decay, etc.). The marker tip is stiff enough to create precise lines, but also flexible enough to get between lashes. It’s also super black — I use it to line and fill (whereas with other liquid eyeliners that are more gray, I’ve had to fill it with gel liner). The Stila liquid eyeliner also lives up to its name and “stays all day”, so no raccoon eyes!

Right: Sigma Brush Cleaning Mat – At first I thought this makeup brush cleaning mat was kind of gimmicky, but I bought it just to try it out and I’m sold! I wet my dirty makeup brushes with brush cleaner, swirl the brush on the designated section of the mat, and rinse off the brush — and voila! If a brush is really dirty, I’ll repeat the process, but it takes way less time than washing with my hands, and plus my fingers don’t get prune-y.

Btw, I got the marble tray here. Also, I purchased all these products and this isn’t a sponsored post — I label all sponsored posts anyway, so you don’t have to worry, but just thought I’d affirm that! 🙂

You have such lovely picks! I have wanted to try the brush mat for a while, but thought that it might be gimmicky too. I'll definitely try it out now!

I write Mademoiselle Meets Maquillage and Macaroons and I would love for you to give it a read, maybe we can follow each other on social media?
