Last of Summer’s Sun

Chicwish floral maxi dress (c/o)
JES Design Studio necklace & bracelet

One of my favorite photo series from the blog are the ones I shot last summer with photographer, Cassie Marino (who also is my sister-in-law). We had driven for hours to the sand dunes, wandered in the desert, stumbled upon a sun-soaked meadow, and ended the day with a sunset over abandoned train tracks.

Last week, we decided to embark on a similar photography adventure. Cassie was shooting for Julie Stull, a local jewelry maker who owns JES Design Studio (she loaned her beautiful creations for the shoot). We drove up north, first to Bow Hill Blueberries, a farm in Skagit Valley that still had fields of sunflowers. The light filtered through the rows of sunflowers, making it the perfect setting to run around in this embroidered floral maxi dress.

We have a few more sets from this photoshoot that I’ll be posting in the weeks to come!
