Invitation: Hey Pretty Thing x Joie – 10/27

Hey Pretty Thing Joie University Village

I’ve partnered with Joie at the University Village in Seattle to host a shopping event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Come with girlfriends to hangout, snack and sip champagne, and enjoy 10% off new arrivals like this bohemian silk floral maxi dress that I’m wearing (and sooo obsessed with).

When: Thursday, 10/27 – 6:30-8:30pm
Where: University Village in Seattle
RSVP: By 10/25 to universityvillage@joie.com

10% off the proceeds will be donated to The Pink Fund, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance to breast cancer patients. I chose The Pink Fund because they support patients and their families in a very practical way – funds pay for basic needs like groceries and bills to help decrease some stresses.

I styled a few Joie outfits and shot a series to promote our event with my sister-in-law, Cassie of Cassie Marino Photography. This post is the first of three that I’ll be releasing in the next couple weeks. Cassie has shot for my blog many times (here are all our shoots). I’m excited that she will be co-hosting and photographing the Hey Pretty Thing x Joie event!

All the Joie pieces work so perfectly together that styling was a breeze. I matched complementary colors around the maxi dress, which is my dream maxi dress materialized into reality. Of course, I had to sport one of Joie‘s luxurious fur jackets (faux fur option available).

I’ve been wearing Kat Von D’s “Lolita II” liquid lipstick all fall, and every time I wear it on Snapchat or Instagram, I get tons of questions about it. I love the color, it dries down matte, and it isn’t overly drying. I also love Too Faced’s “Sell Out” liquid lipstick, which is similar but just a little pinker.

Anyway, I hope to hangout with you the Hey Pretty Thing x Joie event! xoxo

This outfit is stunning Carolyn. I love it even more since it's for a great cause. Wish I lived in Seattle so I could attend the event. Your sister in-law definitely captured the best images!

By the way, I tried use "wordpress" to post the above comment twice but I don't think it was working. Using google this time and hope it goes through!

Hi Laura – oh no! I just checked the links and they worked for me. Their website is http://www.pinkfund.org – maybe it was just temporarily down and I hope now it's back up! 🙂
