Our 10 Year Anniversary!

June marks the 10 year anniversary of my last first date!

Miguel I had a whirlwind dating period, said we loved each other within a month, went ring shopping the month after, and was engaged a year later. It’s cliche but it was true for us: when you know you know!

In the last decade, we got married, bought a house, traveled a bunch, both got our masters, and basically just lived it up enjoying life and each other. Time really flies when you’re having fun!

Our secrets to a happy marriage are probably pretty common — we crack each other up all day and we communicate about everyyything. It’s normal for us to have like 8-hr convos on the couch or long chats over food/drinks. We talk about how we’re feeling, goals and dreams, childhood, fears and insecurities, etc. nothing is off limits and it’s always safe.

We show respect to one another, actively help make each other’s dreams come true, forgive quickly, and daily work on ourselves to be a better friend and partner. Thankful to be in love with my forever companion!
