I went from wearing minimal jewelry to maximal accessories in like a month! Maybe it’s because the weather in Seattle is pretty drab, but I’ve been having fun with colorful jewelry that spice up an outfit. One accessory I’m particularly into right now is the sunglasses chain! It definitely can be a statement piece, but I also like the practicality of being able to remove sunglasses without having to wear them on my head or put them away.
Zara crop tank top (similar here and here) and pants (similar), Hermès Oran sandals (affordable version), Chloé bag (affordable version), Oliver Peoples x The Row “Parquet” sunglasses, Shein puka shell sunglasses chain (similar here and here), BaubleBar beaded bracelet, Venessa Arizaga puka shell bracelet (on sale! – shop more Venessa Arizaga jewelry), Monica Vinader “Fiji” bracelet, Yves Saint Laurent “Crazy Tangerine” lip stain
Wow have puka shells made a resurgence… well, they’re the closest I can get to Hawaii or any kind of tropical vibes at the moment. How many of you owned puka shell jewelry when you were younger?? I swear my taste sometimes regresses to that of a tweenager… like all my jewelry in this DIY nail sticker art manicure post.
This outfit may be one of the more “put together” ones I’ve worn in months, but it’s really the same formula as my athleisure uniform at home: crop top, high-waisted pants/leggings/sweats, and slides or sneakers. It’s easy, mindless dressing at this point. Maybe that’s why I’ve been using jewelry and accessories to jazz everything up!
