With everything else being a little dreary right now, why not let your jewelry inject some lightheartedness to an outfit? For necklaces, I like to start with a simple gold necklace and then layer fun ones on from there, like a beaded puka shell necklace and a pearl drop necklace.

I bought this 90s-style beaded charm necklace and have been wearing it with everything. It immediately jazzes up a look, even if I’m in sweatpants. In the future, when I’m not working from home and going into work again, I would style the necklace with an oversized blazer and a graphic tee. Shop more chokers here.

As with bracelets, more is more. I’ve been layering beaded bracelets, 90s-style bracelets, and puka shell bracelets with a Hermès Clic H bracelet for some juxtaposition.

Lately life is so serious, so I’m letting my jewelry be fun like this cute gummy bear necklace. It’s another necklace that I’d wear with a white tee and oversized blazer once I return back to work in person. Since the chain is silver, I paired it with silver and gunmetal rings.

However, at the end of the day, I’m still a minimalist at heart, and most of the time, I’m all about no-fuss everyday jewelry like stud earrings. If I want a minimal look but still keep things interesting, then I may add an ear cuff.

For the child who loves the classic elegance in everyday life, look for simple, timeless pieces that would look classy and understated at any age. Try pearl or stud earrings, or uncomplicated necklaces that are quiet and elevated—pieces that your child could wear for the rest of their lives.
