Napa Weekend Itinerary (Wineries, Restaurants, and more)

Napa weekend winery itinerary

Since getting the COVID-19 vaccine a couple months ago, Husband and I have been able to travel again! Even though we’re young and healthy, we got vaccinated to protect ourselves and others. For us, the side effects of a sore arm and mild fever were bearable and pale in comparison to potentially getting COVID-19 and those symptoms we’ve heard about. Anyway, the last time we went to Napa was 8 years ago(!), so I reached out to friends who live in the Bay Area for their trusted recs — here’s the 2-day itinerary of our recent trip to Napa, CA:

Day 1

Brunch – PRESS

On our way in, we stopped by PRESS for brunch, which was delicious — definitely get the truffle cornbread! It was so pleasant dining al fresco with the temp in the mid-80s.

In hot weather, I love the easy silhouette of pairing flowy pants with a cropped top — I’ll be wearing this combo a lot into summer.

Wine Tasting #1 – Ashes & Diamonds

We loved the A&D Wines + Cheese tasting at Ashes & Diamonds! The modern midcentury vibes are stunning, and the mood is fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Meanwhile, the wines are seriously delicious, and we brought home a few of their Cabernet Franc, Grand Vin, and Cabernet Sauvignon bottles that I’m excited to get into.

Wine Tasting #2 – JaM Cellars

We had a little time before our dinner reservation, so we swung by JaM Cellars near the restaurant. The atmosphere was so different from the previous tasting, and a blast in its own way as the wine was paired with an awesome soundtrack! We brought home a couple bottles of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, which I can’t wait to drink this summer!

Husband and I hadn’t dined indoors in over a year, but we started to again after getting vaccinated. Groups within this venue were socially distanced, and we still masked when not actively drinking/eating to protect others, but being vaccinated really gave us peace of mind.

Dinner – Angèle

We ended the night with a lovely classic French meal at Angèle.

I wore this Few Moda gingham dress all day, and it was cute and comfy! It’s cotton, so it was breathable for the warm Napa weather. For 10% off your order, use my code: carolynmarino10. Shop here for more spring and summer dresses.

Day 2

Lunch – Oxbow Public Market

We went to Oxbow Public Market for coffee, green juice (needed some detoxing haha), empanadas, and sandwiches. To be real, we were going to do another wine tasting before heading out but skipped it as I had too much fun the day before lol. Next time! I’m already planning a girls’ wine weekend later this year…

As more than 6 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been given in WA, nearly 300 million in the U.S., and over 1 billion doses worldwide, I’m looking forward to getting back to normal hopefully soon, as we need more than 70% of us to get vaccinated to create community immunity.
