Lunar New Year is tomorrow, and I had a fun weekend of celebrations and am looking forward to more ahead this week! As I get older, cultural traditions become more important, but we’ve kind of made them our own and celebrate the way we want to. Here are some things to do in Seattle for LNY!

Asian-owned Lucky Envelope Brewing made four special Lunar New Year beers, so we tried a tasting flight of each. Since we were in the area, we went to our favorite Cloudburst Brewing, which has the Plenty of Clouds Dump Truck that serves Chinese food. Later we met up with friends for cocktails at Phocific Standard Time, owned by the Phở Bắc team, and they gave out red envelopes of scratch tickets to each guest! We collectively won $3 haha it was a thrill.

The next day, I went to Chateau Ste Michelle with a girl friend for their Dim Sum & Sip event, in which they partnered with local Chinese restaurants to prepare three dishes paired with their rosé, riesling, and zinfandel. It was delicious, and I think all wine pairings should come with dim sum now! haha Anyway, CSM has a lot of fun Lunar New Year events, many that go through the end of February, so check them out here!

Yeezy x Gap round jacket, Supreme zip-up hoodie (similar), Fear of God Essentials sweatpants, Louis Vuitton mini soft trunk bag (shop used version), Prada Cloudbust Thunder sneakers (affordable version)
It’s auspicious to wear red for Chinese New Year, so I decided to wear my Husband’s Yeezy x Gap jacket, and based on how loud it is maybe I’ll have a really lucky year, yeah? haha Anyway, we’ll be going over to my Dad’s for dinner tomorrow — I’m excited for his home-cooked feast and to spend time together! Then this Friday, the club that I advise at school will be having a Lunar New Year party. If you’re celebrating, hope you have a wonderful holiday!
